There is a huge number of lakes in the Territory: 323 000 big lakes, and incalculable quantity of small lakes.

The fauna includes 290 kinds of the vertebrata. The Tungussky State Natural Reserve is one of the new nature protection, research and eco-educational establishments. Its area amounts to 296 562 hectares, and, of course, among all the places of the district, the most visited place is the interstream area of the Hushma and Kimchu rivers, where in 1908 the Tunguska Meteor event happened. Active scientific work on a solution of the Meteor Mystery is carried on in this region until now, but despite it, an access to the place is open to tourists. There are three ecological routes here, one of which repeats that of the pioneer of the meteorite downfall place. Beside that, the reserve includes other interesting sites: a crater of a Mesozoic volcano, a hill chain named the Lakursky Ridge, falls of the Churgim stream. Access to the reserve area is carried out by helicopter; the program of routes includes river rafting.

In Krasnoyarsk, besides the traditional Museum of Regional Studies, which is interesting in any region, one should visit the St. Nikolay Steamship Museum which belonged to the industrialist I.M. Sibiryakov, and was, at the time, considered the fastest flyboat on the Yenisei. Now, the wardroom and other premises have remained on the boat. The vessel hosts regularly exhibitions. One more sightseeing attraction of Krasnoyarsk is the Karaulnaya (Guard) Mountain with the Paraskeva Pyatnitsa Chapel, which is visible from any corner of the city. Below the Chapel there is the gun which makes a single shot each midday.

In the Krasnoyarsk Territory there is a plenty of sights which have remained from an ancient history: for example Big Seigniorial Petroglyphs, where the life of a Scythian settlement is represented; the Kopensky War Stone; the Valley of Tsars, where on a very small area more than 50 big barrows are collected; Tepsej Mountain, sacred for the Khakassian people, on the territory of the Yenisei Gate natural complex. At the Achinsk paleontologic encampment, a permanent exposition is established: tools made of stone plates, «tools with dredging», scrapers, mammoth bones, a calendar. Another encampment of the antiquity is near to Krasnoyarsk hydro-electric power plant (excursions, too, are organized here, and from the bridge over the Yenisei a fantastic view opens).
