The largest international tourism exhibition in Asia-Pacific Region «JATA» takes place at Tokyo Big Sight from 25 to 28 September 2014.
«JATA» is one of the largest comprehensive travel events in Asia. It was started in 1977 with the aim of stimulating demand for outbound travel.
A total of 730 organizations and companies from 154 countries participated in «JATA» in 2013.
The Russian Federation has participated in «JATA» for many years because Russia considers Japan as one of priority markets for incoming tourism development. Japanese tourists take 12 place in the rating of incoming tourism flow in Russia but there is a positive tendency and increasing interest of Japanese people in travelling to Russia.
Tour operators recognize high interest of Japanese business to Russian direction: event-driven, sport, ecological tourism and other directions. Trips to Kamchatka, the Baikal, Moscow, Saint-Petersburg, cities of the Golden Ring are popular in Japan.
